And there you have it, the beginning to an evening full of banter but always serious wine pairing talk at the 2014 Wine Spectator's New York Wine Experience 'Matching Master' event. Three chefs, creating three amazing plates and pairing them with three hand-selected wines. The full story can be read here from Wine Spectator.com but spoiler alert.... Emeril Lagasse and José Andrés paired the 2011 Red Stitch Soberanes Pinot Noir with the dish called 'The Foieffle'. This dish was created by Chef Andrés and is made of a crisp and airy waffle topped with foie gras cream and maple syrup. The panel and the crowd gave these two (and us) the Win!
