Tasting Notes:

The 2009 Red Stitch Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot. The grapes were harvested in October 2009 and aged for 22 months in 75% new French oak. This 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon exudes notes of warm caramel, roasted almonds, and warm tobacco giving way to seductive, earthy aromas. The deep, midnight purple, alludes to a velvety, layered mouthfeel and is highlighted by ripe, chewy tannins, luscious black fruits and a hint of freshly roasted coffee. The elegant, persistent finish is accented by toasted oak, an essence of graphite and spice.

Rated an "Outstanding" 91 points by Wine Spectator who noted the following:

"This red features subtle aromas of fresh earth, mineral, juicy black cherry and plum. Firm, with ripe, gripping tannins and an underlying sense of elegance and finesse." - James Laube, Wine Spectator
